I am very excited to be a part of the 4th grade team here at Grassy Creek Elementary! This will be my fourth year at Grassy Creek and my third year in the Warrior family. I graduated from Franklin College in May of 2019. I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. Although my first year teaching did not go as planned with COVID changing the way school runs, I was able to grow as an educator through online teaching and trainings. I am very excited to see what this year brings and can not wait to meet the students.
I enjoy playing and watching sports! I have played almost every sport but was able to play tennis at Franklin College throughout my 4 years. I was very involved at Franklin through: Greek life, student ambassador, student congress, dance marathon, and student athletic advisory committee. I attended Concord Community Schools in Elkhart, Indiana through my elementary and high school career. I love animals, singing, arts and crafts, and teaching. Each and every one of these clubs and hobbies have helped me become the teacher I want to be and many of my inspirations to teaching have come from these organizations and hobbies.
As an educator, I believe that the classroom is a community where every student will learn, grow, and succeed in any way they need. My classroom is also a safe spot for all students to be who they are. I find it very important that every student is able to feel confident answering and asking questions in the classroom. I will strive to help each student find that confidence and/or grow in the confident that they already have! I look forward to meeting all of you and helping each student grow!
